Fire Protection Design Engineer

About the role

Peregrine Fire is looking for a Fire Protection Design Engineer in Lahore. The engineer designs comprehensive fire protection systems, including fire detection, alarm and sprinkler systems, and works closely with clients to tailor designs to their fire safety needs. The role involves managing several projects independently without direct team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed fire protection system designs in AutoCAD, including fire detection and alarm systems and sprinkler layouts.
• Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure optimal performance and compliance with fire safety standards.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored technical solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, design reports and project specifications that follow industry codes and standards.
• Manage multiple fire system design projects at once, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and contractors to integrate fire protection into building designs.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing systems and identify improvements or retrofitting needs.
• Keep up to date with regulatory requirements, fire safety codes and emerging technologies.
• Support sales teams with technical expertise and presentations to potential clients.

Required profile

• Background in electrical engineering or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in fire protection system design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic calculations.
• Strong technical documentation skills and effective client interaction.
• Able to work independently on multiple projects; prior sales experience is mentioned as an advantage.
