About the role
Media in Cooperation and Transition (MiCT) is seeking a freelance Community Manager to support its Critical Voices Fellowship 2026/27. The role focuses on engaging audiences in Afghanistan and Pakistan through Urdu, Dari and Pashto language channels, fostering inclusive dialogue in a challenging media environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement community‑building strategies for the fellowship program.
- Manage online platforms, moderate discussions, and respond to audience queries in Urdu, Dari and Pashto.
- Coordinate with project partners to produce culturally relevant content.
- Monitor community feedback and report insights to the program team.
- Ensure compliance with the German Federal Foreign Office funding guidelines.
Required profile
- Fluency in Urdu, Dari and Pashto (written and spoken).
- Proven experience in community management or similar communication roles.
- Strong understanding of media dynamics in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
- Ability to work independently on a freelance basis.
