Freelance Video Editor (Remote)

About the role

Salon Central is looking for a talented and creative Freelance Video Editor to join its team on a per-video basis. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of storytelling, pays close attention to detail and can produce engaging, high-quality video content that fits the company's creative vision. The work is remote.

Key responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into engaging, polished, high-quality videos.
• Follow project requirements, creative briefs and brand guidelines.
• Perform color correction, sound mixing, transitions and other post-production tasks.
• Add graphics, text, animations and visual effects when required.
• Ensure final videos meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
• Collaborate with the team to understand project goals and incorporate feedback.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.

Required profile

• Strong portfolio showcasing previous video editing work.
• Good understanding of storytelling, pacing, transitions, color grading and sound design.
• Creativity, attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Availability to work on a freelance, per-video basis.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CapCut and/or Adobe Premiere Pro.

Payment is per video, and the work arrangement is freelance and remote.
