Full Stack Engineer – Backend (Supabase/Postgres) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a remote Full Stack Engineer to own the data plane of an offline‑first mobile application. You will design and implement the schema, security model, synchronization engine, and Edge Functions that connect the client to downstream services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain a core PostgreSQL schema with Row‑Level Security (RLS) for every user‑scoped table.
• Build an append‑only, event‑sourced backbone with version stamping and correlation IDs.
• Develop Deno/TypeScript Edge Functions for authentication webhooks, CRUD operations, external data resolvers, and third‑party webhook handling.
• Implement the sync engine, including conflict‑resolution logic (last‑write‑wins, client‑id deduplication, merge strategies).
• Define storage access policies, encrypt third‑party tokens, and manage migrations, CI validation, backups, and point‑in‑time recovery.

Required profile

• Strong experience with production‑grade PostgreSQL, schema design, indexing, and query tuning.
• Hands‑on knowledge of RLS for true multi‑tenant isolation.
• Proven ability to ship Deno/TypeScript Edge Functions to production.
• Experience building offline‑first sync mechanisms and conflict‑resolution contracts.
• Security‑first mindset: input validation, rate limiting, least‑privilege storage.
