Fullstack Engineer

About the role

Bykea is looking for a Fullstack Engineer II to build highly‑reliable, scalable web applications that serve millions of users each month. You will work closely with Product and Design teams to deliver rich, dependable customer experiences while owning features from concept through production. The role emphasizes end‑to‑end problem solving rather than simple code execution.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship web application features used by a large user base.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product and Design to define requirements and maintain applications.
• Apply sound engineering judgement and follow best‑practice standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Strengthen and improve development processes, standards and tooling.
• Own assigned features end‑to‑end, including design, implementation, testing and deployment.
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge within the engineering team.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of professional experience in both backend and frontend development.
• Proven track record of shipping high‑quality product features on schedule.
• Experience handling projects with multiple dependencies and managing priorities independently.
• Comfortable using AI and automation tools to boost productivity in coding, testing and documentation.

Required skills

• Backend frameworks such as Node.js (JavaScript), Python or Laravel (PHP).
• Frontend JavaScript frameworks like Next.js, React, Angular, Vue, Ember or Knockout.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
• Experience with distributed systems and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, design patterns and authorization mechanisms.
