Gen Z Content Creator Intern – Memes, Reels & Social Media

About the role

An early-stage startup incubated at LUMS is looking for a creative, internet-savvy intern who understands Gen Z culture, social media trends, memes and short-form video content. The internship is based in Lahore and can be done on a hybrid or remote basis. You will help turn everyday situations into engaging content and experiment with new ideas.

Key responsibilities

• Create relatable, humorous and engaging content for Instagram Reels and other social media platforms.
• Develop original meme concepts based on everyday experiences, youth culture and trending topics.
• Research trending sounds, formats, memes and viral content.
• Brainstorm ideas, write short video scripts and craft hooks and captions.
• Shoot and edit short-form videos with a smartphone and tools such as CapCut or VN.
• Experiment with different content styles, storytelling techniques and formats.
• Track content performance and use audience engagement to improve future content.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Gen Z culture, internet humor and social media trends.
• Creative thinking and good writing skills for hooks, captions and short scripts.
• Willingness to experiment, learn and take creative feedback; able to work independently.
• Bonus: experience creating memes, Reels or videos for a personal account or university society; knowledge of Pakistani Gen Z culture and Roman Urdu humor; comfort on camera; a portfolio of creative work.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Instagram Reels and other short-form video formats.
• Basic video editing with CapCut, VN or similar tools.
