General Manager, Logistics & Business Operations

About the role

Mass Shipping Line Limited is seeking a General Manager, Logistics & Business Operations to lead its logistics and business functions from its Lahore office. This full‑time, on‑site role is responsible for overseeing daily logistics activities, managing end‑to‑end supply chain processes, and driving operational excellence across sea, air, and road transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day‑to‑day performance and execution of logistics operations.
• Lead end‑to‑end sea freight, air freight, road transportation and multimodal logistics.
• Manage FCL, LCL, import, export and cross‑trade shipments.
• Ensure seamless execution from customer inquiry through shipment completion, invoicing and profitability review.
• Drive revenue, gross profit, service quality, productivity and customer‑retention objectives.
• Manage freight pricing, procurement and quotation processes.
• Negotiate rates and commercial terms with shipping lines, airlines, transporters and logistics partners.
• Maintain strong controls over pricing, margins and commercial commitments.
• Monitor shipment‑level, customer‑level and trade‑lane profitability.
• Develop and manage key customer relationships to support profitable growth.
• Handle major operational, customer and commercial escalations.
• Build relationships with international freight‑forwarding agents and strategic partners.
• Develop scalable SOPs, workflows, controls and accountability across the business.
• Ensure accurate and timely shipment documentation and record management.
• Manage operating budgets, vendor costs and overall resource utilization.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end logistics and supply chain operations.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control and financial performance monitoring.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial terms with carriers and partners.
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in logistics.
