General Manager Operations – Engineering, Infrastructure & Trading

About the role

The General Manager Operations (GM Operations) reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end operational execution of a diversified business that includes HVAC, fire‑fighting, plumbing, solar and renewable energy products. The role ensures coordination across finance, HR, sales, procurement, logistics, IT, warehouse and branch operations while driving growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall business strategy, monitor performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee cross‑functional coordination to ensure smooth operations, productivity gains and adherence to delivery commitments.
• Lead department heads, set targets, and foster a performance‑driven culture.
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, working‑capital, cash‑flow and cost‑control activities.
• Direct sales and market development, dealer network management and customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Supervise import, procurement, supplier management, landed‑cost calculations and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure efficient logistics, warehouse management, inventory accuracy and cost‑effective distribution.
• Drive IT initiatives, ERP/MIS utilization, automation, digital transformation and data security.
• Maintain branch performance standards, expense control and policy compliance.

Required profile

• MBA, CA, ACCA, ACMA, Engineering degree or equivalent.
• 15+ years of progressive management experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Proven experience in import, distribution and sectors such as HVAC, fire‑fighting, plumbing or solar preferred.
