Head of Engineering, Sales & Marketing Tools

About the role

Moniepoint Inc., Africa's all-in-one financial platform, is looking for its Head of Engineering, Sales & Marketing Tools to join it in Pakistan. The Sales and Marketing Tools domain owns MonieCRM, an in-house workforce operations platform for a 50,000-strong sales network covering onboarding, pipeline, performance, compensation and support, plus wallets, commission calculation and attribution, partner management, a rewards and retention platform and the marketing technology stack including Braze. The mandate is modernisation and reliability: re-architecting fast-grown systems to be dependable at more than 20 million users.

Required profile

• 10-15 years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases.
• At least 5 years of hands-on, production-level Java development as a practising engineer.
• At least 5 years managing managers and leading an engineering organisation through other engineering leaders.
• Proven platform engineering experience at scale, including legacy migrations and re-architecture at 20M+ user scale.
• Experience managing engineering teams of 20 or more members.
• Fintech or payments background strongly preferred; CRM or SalesTech experience is not required.

Required skills

• Strong backend engineering in high-throughput, data-intensive distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building systems where financial correctness matters (commissions, payouts, wallets, ledgers) is a strong advantage.
• Exposure to customer engagement or marketing automation platforms such as Braze is a plus.

The hiring process includes a system design round, panel interviews, a technical deep dive, a stakeholder management round and a final technical and culture-fit interview with the Co-founder and Group CTO.
