Head of Finance and Accounting

About the role

Rafi Securities Private Limited is seeking a senior finance professional to lead its Finance and Accounting function in Karachi. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to senior leadership and is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and present financial statements in compliance with local standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee general ledger activities, cash‑flow monitoring, and month‑end/quarter‑end closing processes.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis cycles, providing insights for strategic decision‑making.
• Manage settlement, reconciliation and exposure monitoring for brokerage‑related transactions.
• Ensure compliance with Pakistani tax laws, securities regulations and internal control frameworks.
• Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy and ethical practice.
• Coordinate with external auditors and cross‑functional departments to maintain transparency and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Professional qualification such as B.Com, CA, ACCA, CIMA or a master’s degree in Finance/Accounting.
• Extensive experience in finance and accounting within brokerage, capital markets or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of local regulatory and tax frameworks in Pakistan.
• Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
• High integrity, attention to detail and commitment to ethical financial practices.
