About the role
The Head of Pakistan Office will lead and scale the Karachi delivery centre for j. awan & partners (JAP) and its RegTech platform azakaw. The office supports GCC‑based and other international client engagements, providing finance, project management, KYC/AML and RegTech development services.
Key responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for the Karachi office, overseeing four functional teams: Finance, Project Management, azakaw Development, and KYC/AML Operations.
- Ensure operational rigor and quality standards that match JAP’s GCC offices.
- Manage recruitment, retention, performance management and HR matters for all Pakistan‑based staff.
- Oversee financial controls, budgeting, reporting and, where required, act as Finance Officer for specific GCC client engagements.
- Coordinate cross‑border activities with teams in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, London and Singapore.
- Represent the firm at senior level in Pakistan and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
Required profile
- Proven senior leadership experience in finance, operations or professional services.
- Strong track record of building high‑performing teams and delivering client‑focused services.
- Excellent understanding of financial reporting, regulatory filings and compliance processes.
- Ability to work hands‑on and manage multiple priorities across geographies.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
