Head of Sales Training

About the role

The Head of Sales Training will lead the development and execution of the commercial training and capability strategy for EPD Pakistan. This role ensures sales teams are equipped with product knowledge, selling skills, and leadership capabilities to meet business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the annual commercial capability plan aligned with regional training agendas.
• Organise onboarding, product/disease knowledge, selling skills, field coaching, and leadership development programmes.
• Assess sales force performance on SFA KPIs, identify gaps and deliver targeted training interventions.
• Develop launch readiness plans for new product introductions, including curricula, manuals, assessments and certifications.
• Manage the learning management system (SumTotal), upload manuals and quizzes, and generate performance reports.
• Lead, coach and develop the internal training team, set objectives and oversee performance management.
• Prepare and control the annual training budget and manage relationships with external training vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of field sales management experience.
• At least five years experience as a Training Manager or similar role.
• Knowledge of basic medical product profiles, competitive landscape and selling techniques.
• Relevant academic qualifications (BSc/MSc/Pharm‑D/MBA) and professional certifications in L&D, coaching or commercial excellence are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Experience using e‑learning platforms, specifically SumTotal.
• Familiarity with Sales Force Automation (SFA) tools.
• Ability to create and manage training content in Veeva.
