Headend Operations Engineer – IPTV

About the role

PTCL Group is seeking an experienced professional to lead the operation and maintenance of its IPTV Headend. You will ensure uninterrupted IPTV services, manage critical infrastructure, and collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the IPTV Headend, including dish antennas, LNBs, encoders, IRDs, and multi‑view service monitoring.
• Ensure power, cooling, and HSE compliance for all equipment.
• Coordinate with NOC, transport, IP network teams, vendors, commercial units, and regulatory bodies (PEMRA/PTA).
• Liaise with IPTV content providers and media channels for seamless service delivery.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot switches, routers, and IP networking infrastructure.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, disaster‑recovery drills, and support channel/hardware upgrades.
• Participate in redesign and optimisation of the Headend infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecom, Computer or Software Engineering.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in IPTV or broadcast systems.
• Strong technical competency in IP networking, routing and switching.
