Housekeeping Officer – Lead Guest Room & Public Area Services

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Housekeeping Officer to lead the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas. In this role you will coordinate a team, ensure high standards of hygiene, and contribute to overall guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping activities across the property.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms and public spaces.
• Develop and implement housekeeping schedules, checklists and standard operating procedures.
• Train, mentor and manage a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Address and resolve guest complaints related to housekeeping services.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall guest experience.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certificate or degree preferred.
• 1‑2 years of experience in housekeeping or a similar hospitality role.
• Strong leadership, organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and varying shifts.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with housekeeping management software.
