HSE Officer – Plant Safety & Compliance

About the role

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all plant operations comply with internal HSE policies and external regulations. Working closely with the Plant Manager and Operations Manager, you will help create a safe working environment at the Port Qasim facility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections to verify compliance with HSE regulations.
• Identify workplace hazards, recommend preventive measures, and follow up with the Plant Manager.
• Communicate with manufacturing teams to address quality‑related safety issues.
• Monitor, investigate, and report safety incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Deliver HSE inductions for new joiners and run workshops on HSE policies.
• Implement emergency response plans and organise regular drills.
• Oversee provision and maintenance of PPE, first‑aid kits, fire extinguishers, and related safety equipment.
• Maintain comprehensive records of HSE activities and report to the HSE Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 4–6 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in an industrial or food‑processing environment.
• Strong knowledge of local safety legislation and international best practices.
