Information Technology Manager

About the role

The Information Technology Manager will lead the planning, implementation and maintenance of AL Habib Asset Management’s IT infrastructure. Based in Karachi, this full‑time, on‑site role ensures reliable, secure technology services that support the firm’s investment and advisory operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain networks, servers, storage, end‑user devices and critical business applications.
• Oversee day‑to‑day IT operations, guaranteeing system availability, performance and compliance with regulatory controls.
• Implement and manage information security, backup and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Coordinate with business and investment teams to capture technology needs and support fintech and asset‑management system integrations.
• Supervise the IT team, prioritize support tickets and manage change‑control processes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and drive continuous improvement in technology governance.
• Manage vendor relationships and lead cross‑functional projects from planning through implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and operations in a financial or other regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of information security principles, access control, data protection, backup and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows and/or Linux servers, Active Directory, virtualization, databases and cloud or hybrid environments.
• Ability to lead and develop IT teams, manage vendors and coordinate cross‑functional projects.
• Excellent problem‑solving, incident‑management and troubleshooting skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication, capable of documenting processes and explaining technical issues to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
