Investment Associate – Venture Capital & Fund Operations

About the role

The Investment Associate will support a global early‑stage investment firm in sourcing new deals, conducting diligence, and assisting with fundraising and investor communications. This role offers exposure to venture capital, private equity, and fund operations across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Support deal sourcing through market research, founder outreach, and inbound screening.
• Conduct diligence on prospective investments, including competitive landscape analysis and financial modeling using AI‑enabled tools.
• Prepare investment memos, investment committee materials, and track portfolio performance metrics.
• Maintain deal pipeline systems and assist partner‑led negotiations and transaction execution.
• Assist with fundraising efforts, pitch materials, data‑room preparation, and LP diligence.
• Produce quarterly investor newsletters, performance summaries, and support annual meetings in San Francisco and Japan.
• Ensure compliance with fund reporting, disclosures, and create dashboards for internal use.

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field from a reputable institution.
• 2–3 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment firms or fund operations with exposure to investor relations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with external stakeholders.
• CFA candidate status (any level) is a plus.
