IT Support Specialist (2-4 years experience)

About the role

The IT Support Specialist will join Hamdard Pakistan’s Information Technology department in Karachi, providing day‑to‑day technical assistance and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure. The role is ideal for candidates with 2‑4 years of experience in network administration and help‑desk support.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software and network systems.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues and minimise downtime.
• Provide first‑level help‑desk support, resolving hardware, software and network problems for end users.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls in line with security policies.
• Perform routine system updates, patches and backups to ensure data integrity.
• Assist in implementing cybersecurity measures and promote best practices.
• Maintain documentation of IT assets, configurations and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with external vendors for procurement and support of IT resources.
• Train end users on proper use of software applications and hardware.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in network administration and help‑desk support.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with other IT professionals.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
