IT System Administrator

About the role

A. F. Ferguson & Co. Chartered Accountants, a member firm of the PwC network, is hiring an IT System Administrator to join its internal firm services information technology team in Karachi. The role supports core business functions by deploying and managing applications that help staff work more efficiently and serve clients better.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Preferred certifications: MCSE, MCSA, PMP, ITIL, COBIT.

Required skills

• Windows Server administration (2019/2022/2025) and Active Directory (users, groups, OUs, GPOs)
• File/print services, NTFS permissions and access control
• Windows hardening and baseline security configuration
• Microsoft Azure (hybrid/cloud): Azure AD, virtual machines, storage and networking basics, Azure Monitor / Log Analytics
• TCP/IP troubleshooting, patch management (Windows Update/SCCM), backup and restore, MFA and conditional access support
• ITIL incident and change workflows
• PowerShell scripting for automation
• ITSM tools such as ServiceNow; monitoring and alerting against SLAs
• Desirable: RDS, IIS, Windows licensing support, VMware or Hyper-V, Microsoft AZ-104/AZ-900 or equivalent credentials
