IT Trainee Engineer

About the role

INTECH Automation Intelligence is looking for a motivated fresh graduate to join its IT & Systems team in Lahore. The trainee will support reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations across service delivery, systems administration, network operations, and cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level support for hardware, software, Windows and Mac endpoints, printers and user issues.
• Log, prioritize, resolve and escalate incidents via the IT ticketing system according to SLAs.
• Assist with employee onboarding, role changes and off‑boarding, including account creation, MFA enrollment and equipment recovery.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory records.
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP administration.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and user licensing through Microsoft Entra ID.
• Assist with patch deployment, endpoint detection and response, antivirus health checks, Zabbix monitoring and backup verification (Veeam, Azure Backup).
• Troubleshoot LAN, Wi‑Fi, switching, VPN and internet connectivity; monitor Cisco switches, Ruckus wireless and Fortinet firewalls.
• Support Azure monitoring and administration of VMs, storage, resource health and cost reporting.
• Help with identity and access management configurations, MFA and Conditional Access.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduate or 0–1 year of experience in IT support, systems administration or networking.
• Practical exposure through academic projects, internships or personal labs.
• Basic understanding of Windows OS, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), Microsoft 365, virtualization and cloud concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills with a customer‑service orientation.
• Eagerness to learn, teamwork, accountability and attention to detail.
