About the role
This position works cross‑functionally with project managers and designers to interpret art briefs, create editorial materials such as book covers and layouts, and develop digital UI designs for online platforms. The incumbent will deliver creative concepts and branding solutions while ensuring high‑quality print and digital outputs.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret art briefs and design editorial materials, including book covers, layouts and supporting illustrations.
- Develop digital UI designs for digital platforms and ensure brand‑consistent proofs.
- Provide creative design concepts and branding solutions for allocated projects.
- Create graphics, layouts and product illustrations, and perform pre‑press operations for print and promotional materials.
- Stay updated on market trends, design, illustration, typography and publishing technologies.
Required profile
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Communication Design, Fine Arts or related field.
- 3‑4 years of design experience, preferably in book publishing, EdTech or advertising with a commercial portfolio.
- Passion for children’s books and a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional design sense.
- Strong aesthetic sense with the ability to listen, interpret and visualize design concepts across the organization.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator for print design.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
