Textile Designer

About the role

Dhaga is seeking a creative Textile Designer to develop original prints and embroidery concepts for women’s ready‑to‑wear collections, co‑ord sets, kaftans and kidswear. You will take designs from initial concepts through to production‑ready artwork, ensuring they align with the brand and garment silhouettes.

Key responsibilities

• Create original repeat, placement and panel prints for seasonal collections.
• Develop motifs, colour palettes and coordinated colourways.
• Design embroidery concepts, placements and colour references.
• Prepare production‑ready artwork with clear dimensions, repeat sizes, placements and colour specifications.
• Coordinate with the design team and printing and embroidery vendors on sampling and revisions.
• Review fabric and garment samples for colour accuracy, scale, placement and execution.
• Research trends and translate them into distinctive, commercially relevant designs.
• Maintain an organised archive of artwork, specifications and approved samples.

Required profile

• A strong portfolio of textile prints, colour development and embroidery concepts.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or relevant textile design software.
• Understanding of repeat patterns, garment placement, scale and colour separation.
• Knowledge of fabrics, printing and embroidery processes.
• Strong attention to detail, communication and time management.
• Fashion or lifestyle design experience preferred.
