Junior Production Engineer

About the role

As a Junior Production Engineer at our Cornwala plant, you will support safe and efficient shift operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality and resource utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Enter shift production and dispatch data into SAP and manage manpower for smooth operations.
• Achieve shift‑wise production targets for quality and quantity, control product losses, and prepare shift performance reports.
• Monitor lab results, coordinate with the shift chemist on non‑conformances, and ensure proper segregation of product grades.
• Check and maintain process equipment, oversee housekeeping, and liaise with other shift engineers during shutdowns or load‑shedding.
• Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology and analytical problem‑solving.
• Enforce safety procedures, ensure use of PPE, manage work permits, and deliver EHS training.

Required profile

• B.Sc or B.E. in Chemical Engineering.
• Approximately 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Good understanding of GMP/HACCP and safety/environmental standards.
• Ability to handle labor, troubleshoot plant issues, and follow instructions from divisional heads.

Required skills

• SAP for production reporting.
• Instrumentation and DCS/SLC operation.
• Operation of weighing scales.
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP procedures.
