Junior Service Engineer – Laboratory Equipment

About the role

Elite Human Resource is hiring a Junior Service Engineer in Karachi to support the installation, maintenance and technical servicing of scientific and laboratory equipment. The role builds hands-on technical expertise in analytical instrumentation under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of scientific and laboratory equipment.
• Conduct site visits and support pre-installation site assessments.
• Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance of analytical instruments.
• Support equipment software installation, configuration and basic troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with senior engineers, OEMs/principals and customers on technical support and service needs.
• Maintain service reports, installation records, maintenance logs and other technical documentation.
• Provide basic equipment operation support and training to customers.
• Travel to customer sites for installations, maintenance and service calls.

Required profile

• 1.5-3 years of relevant experience encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of electrical, electronic, mechanical or instrumentation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
• Willingness to travel for customer site visits and service assignments.

Required skills

• Good MS Office and documentation skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical or instrumentation systems.
