Lead Generator (Telecommute)

About the role

Vertex Assets is a software-focused business and is looking for a Lead Generator to support its growth by identifying and qualifying potential customers. The role is based in Karachi and is offered as a telecommute position. The Lead Generator researches prospects, initiates professional outreach and helps the team build a consistent pipeline of relevant business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Research target organizations and decision-makers using online sources, directories and approved prospecting tools.
• Identify prospects that match the company's target customer profile and keep accurate contact and activity records in a CRM or tracking system.
• Reach out initially through appropriate business channels, introduce the company's software offerings and assess prospect needs and interest.
• Qualify leads against agreed criteria, document key information and arrange follow-up or handoff to the sales team.
• Follow up with prospects professionally and consistently, respecting their communication preferences and applicable policies.
• Monitor outreach activity and lead quality, share progress updates and suggest improvements to prospecting approaches.

Required profile

• Clear, professional written and verbal communication, with confidence initiating business conversations.
• Ability to research organizations, identify relevant contacts and assess basic prospect fit.
• Experience or aptitude in lead generation, telemarketing, appointment setting or business development outreach.
• Strong organization and follow-through, including accurate record keeping and timely follow-ups.
• Self-motivated, able to manage time independently in a remote environment, and willing to learn software products and improve outreach based on feedback.

Required skills

• Comfort using spreadsheets, email and online research tools.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and lead tracking is an advantage.
