Learning & Development Manager

About the role

The Learning & Development Manager will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of training programmes that build competencies across the bank, with a focus on micro‑finance operations, compliance and leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the bank’s L&D strategy, including annual training plans and training needs analyses.
• Design and deliver micro‑finance‑focused trainings covering loan processes, risk management, compliance and SBP guidelines.
• Run induction programmes and refresher courses to support continuous learning.
• Build leadership development programmes and support succession planning.
• Conduct branch visits to deliver on‑site training, assess needs and identify performance gaps.
• Facilitate classroom, virtual and on‑the‑job training sessions and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Lead, mentor and develop the internal training team and a pool of internal trainers.
• Oversee training logistics, facilities, budgets and resource utilisation.
• Maintain training MIS, prepare reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage external training partners and introduce industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4‑6 years of experience in Training & Development, preferably in micro‑finance or banking.
• Strong understanding of micro‑finance operations and SBP regulations.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and analytical skills.
