Logistics Assistant

About the role

The Logistics Assistant supports the delivery of logistics services for International Medical Corps, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and host‑country regulations. The role combines office management, fleet coordination, security support, and reporting duties in a humanitarian context.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for daily office activities, monthly payments, and stock inventory across main and field offices.
• Conduct regular field visits to update stock sheets and coordinate procurement and delivery of supplies.
• Assist in planning weekly fleet movements, assigning drivers, and compiling field schedules.
• Support the security manager by monitoring evolving situations, informing staff, and updating security documents.
• Prepare logistics reports as assigned and contribute to fraud‑prevention initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required by the logistics manager.

Required profile

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 6 months of experience in procurement and/or logistics.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multi‑ethnic, multicultural teams.
• Willingness to work in harsh, remote conditions.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
