Maintenance Engineer – BOPET Film Line

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Engineer for a BOPET film production line. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting smooth production through effective maintenance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain mechanical systems including pumps, compressors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Manage critical spare‑parts inventory and coordinate procurement.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records, reports, KPIs, and SAP documentation.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors while supporting team development and effective manpower utilization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics engineering or a related discipline.
• 4–5 years of maintenance experience in a BOPET film line, plastics manufacturing, packaging, or continuous‑process industry.
• Hands‑on experience with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of production equipment and utilities.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in equipment reliability improvement, root‑cause analysis, and maintenance planning.
• Familiarity with SAP or other maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge of maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and equipment efficiency.
• Effective communication, problem‑solving, and team‑management abilities.
• Experience in large‑scale manufacturing, packaging, polymer, or industrial environments is a plus.
