Managed Services Engineer – Tier 3 (Remote)

About the role

AireSpring is seeking a seasoned Managed Services Engineer at Tier 3 level to provide remote, high‑level support for enterprise networks across the United States. The role focuses on complex troubleshooting, security design, and network optimization for multi‑vendor environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Tier 3 support for Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, ADTRAN, Juniper, Meraki, and HP/Dell switch platforms.
• Troubleshoot advanced routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, and DMVPN.
• Support SD‑WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, Ecessa, Vergx) and wireless LAN controllers.
• Configure and resolve voice services including SIP, PRI, Hosted PBX, TDM/IP interworking, and Fax over IP.
• Collaborate with field technicians and ISPs to resolve complex issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Analyze SIP traffic with Wireshark, maintain documentation, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Design and implement network security solutions, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
• Plan and execute large‑scale network migrations and perform performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams, participate in on‑call rotation, and contribute to best‑practice documentation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve network reliability.

Required profile

• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Tier 2/3 network and voice support.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Fortinet NSE 4, Cisco Meraki Specialist, ADTRAN ATSP/ATSA).
