Manager Treasury Accounting & Regulatory Reporting

About the role

The Manager Treasury Accounting & Regulatory Reporting is responsible for ensuring accurate deal authorization, monitoring currency positions, and maintaining compliance with FX and precious metal limits. The role also oversees MIS reporting and Nostro management to support the Treasury Operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Authorize all deals in the system to reflect correct positions in the book.
• Monitor and advise on currency positions of branches and cover exchange exposure.
• Control FX and money market limits to prevent dealer excesses.
• Verify exchange and deposit rates to ensure correct customer pricing.
• Match Forex bank deals with customer deals to avoid unintended exchange positions.
• Monitor limits and accounting of precious metal transactions for accurate recording.
• Check parity tolerance reports to prevent wrong exchange rates or losses.
• Track daily exchange profit/loss and report discrepancies.
• Produce daily and monthly FX proprietary profit/loss reports for management.
• Ensure transaction errors are approved and reported monthly.
• Revalue proprietary interest rate swap deals monthly and reflect them in GL accounts.
• Prepare FX margin, futures commission, corporate customer P&L, and TCM income reports.
• Generate banking returns, survey responses, and statements of derivatives (IAS‑7) for CAD.
• Analyze large exposures to non‑banks and report exchange income on Vostro accounts.
• Monitor and reconcile sundry creditor/debtor and suspense accounts.
• Manage Nostro accounts, coordinate with operations, branches, and dealers to maintain proper exchange coverage.
