Mechanical Draftsman

About the role

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Mechanical Draftsman to join its Wellhead and Skids Solutions team, supporting process automation projects across Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Renewable Energy sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and 2D/3D digital models for mechanical equipment and piping systems.
• Develop 2D and 3D models for FEED‑level piping and equipment designs, including skid‑based structures.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing personnel to verify design details and recommend modifications.
• Maintain drafting standards, drawing registers, and logs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and verify Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for accuracy.

Required profile

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of mechanical and piping drafting experience, preferably in Oil & Gas.
• Strong understanding of piping layouts, equipment arrangements, skid‑based systems, and mechanical fabrication requirements.
• Good knowledge of international codes and standards for piping design.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deliverables under strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
• Experience with 3D design platforms such as CADWorx, PDMS, or Tekla.
