Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the operation, maintenance and small‑scale improvement projects of our mechanical assets. The role will work closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support operation and maintenance of mechanical systems such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, dryers, fans, motors and utility equipment.
• Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and reliability activities.
• Participate in small‑scale modification and improvement projects, including documentation, BOQ preparation and vendor coordination.
• Help maintain workshop inventory, preventive maintenance checklists and critical spare‑part records.
• Support supervision of contractors for routine maintenance and minor projects, monitoring progress and verifying job bills.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and civil teams on maintenance tasks and technical discussions.
• Follow company policies, safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Contribute ideas for energy conservation, process optimisation and prepare feasibility notes for improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum five years of experience in operation and maintenance within petrochemical, fertilizer, process, food or cement industries.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of international standards such as EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO and Food Safety.

• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Lean Six Sigma methodology.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• ETAB.
• AutoCAD.
• Power BI for maintenance reporting.
