Medical Records Executive – Patient Records Management

About the role

The Medical Records Executive will ensure accurate, secure, and efficient management of patient records for our U.S.-focused healthcare services. Working from our Karachi office, you will support clinicians and administrative staff while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Organize, update, and maintain patient medical records in both electronic and paper formats.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state/federal privacy regulations.
• Coordinate with psychiatrists, therapists, and administrative staff to provide timely record access.
• Prepare documentation for audits, insurance claims, and internal reviews.
• Support digitization initiatives and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Conduct quality checks to verify accuracy and completeness of patient files.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Administration, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in medical records or healthcare administration, preferably in psychiatric or outpatient settings.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and discretion handling sensitive information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with EHR/HIS systems.
