MEP Project Engineer

About the role

The MEP Project Engineer will lead the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) activities for the Takmeel Square mixed‑use development in DHA Bahawalpur. The role covers the full project life‑cycle from design review through commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all on‑site MEP works (HVAC, electrical, ELV, fire‑fighting, plumbing, drainage, water supply, etc.).
• Review MEP drawings, specifications and BOQs, raise RFIs for any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, consultants and contractors to integrate services with civil and finishing works.
• Monitor daily execution to ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards and schedule.
• Assist in sequencing and scheduling MEP activities and align them with the overall project programme.
• Verify quantities for interim payment certifications, variations and change orders.
• Support procurement with material submittals, technical comparisons and vendor evaluations.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and functional performance of MEP systems, including BMS integration.
• Prepare site reports, inspection requests, checklists, as‑built documentation and O&M inputs for handover.
• Work with HSE team to enforce safe practices during installation, testing and energisation.
• Liaise with utility providers for power, water, gas and other service connections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics (MEP focus preferred).
• 5–8 years of MEP project/site engineering experience, preferably on commercial, mixed‑use, mall, hotel or high‑rise projects.
• Strong background in HVAC, power distribution, lighting, ELV, fire alarm, fire‑fighting and plumbing systems.
• Proven ability to coordinate MEP works with civil and architectural teams.
• Familiarity with DHA or similar authority approval processes is an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; experience with Revit/BIM is a plus.
