Mid-Level WordPress Developer

About the role

Med Cards Now is looking for a mid-level WordPress developer in Lahore with about three years of professional experience. The role involves developing and maintaining several websites, improving their performance, security and SEO, and working with design, marketing and SEO teams. It does not involve managing a team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve WordPress websites tailored to client needs
• Customize WordPress themes, child themes and plugins
• Build responsive sites with Elementor, Elementor Pro, Gutenberg and other page builders
• Implement front-end and back-end changes with HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JavaScript and jQuery
• Develop, configure and support WooCommerce sites, including products, checkout, payment gateways and custom features
• Troubleshoot plugin conflicts, theme problems, broken layouts and errors
• Optimize performance: page load time, caching, image optimization and Core Web Vitals
• Handle migrations, backups, staging and production deployments
• Integrate third-party services such as contact forms, payment gateways, APIs, analytics and marketing tools
• Maintain security and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
• Apply basic technical SEO and manage hosting environments (cPanel, FTP/SFTP, SSL, DNS, databases)
• Test before deployment, document changes and communicate project progress

Required profile

• About three years of professional experience
• Deep knowledge of WordPress core, plugin customization and theme modification
• Able to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently
• Strong independent work ability and ability to handle several assignments by deadline
• Effective communication on project status
