Mid‑Level Accountant – UAE VAT & Corporate Tax (Islamabad)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated mid‑level accountant to join our Dubai‑based consultancy’s Islamabad office. You will serve UAE clients, handling accounting, VAT, corporate tax and audit support while ensuring compliance with local regulations and IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting and bookkeeping for UAE‑based clients.
• Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns on time.
• Compute and file UAE corporate tax returns.
• Handle VAT and corporate tax registrations, amendments and deregistrations.
• Support audit engagements by preparing schedules, reconciliations and working papers.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and ledger reconciliations.
• Review client records for compliance issues and monitor statutory deadlines.
• Submit penalty waiver applications and liaise with the Federal Tax Authority when required.
• Coordinate directly with clients to obtain missing information and resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain complete documentation and client records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (B.Com, BBA Accounting, BS Accounting & Finance, ACCA, CA Inter or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with UAE accounting, VAT, corporate tax and audit.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and UAE corporate tax.
• Proficiency with IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero or Odoo.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
