Monitoring, Evaluation & Research (ME&R) Officer

About the role

A development sector organization, based in Islamabad, is looking for a Monitoring, Evaluation and Research (ME&R) Officer. The role covers monitoring and evaluation visits, research support, report writing and donor engagement, with frequent travel to project sites mainly in Sindh and Balochistan.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of monitoring frameworks, tools and field data collection.
• Carry out project monitoring and evaluation visits, compile reports and highlight key findings.
• Assist in research activities such as surveys, data analysis and documenting lessons learned to inform program design and policy.
• Help prepare reports, case studies, success stories and knowledge products.
• Identify and pursue funding opportunities from bilateral, multilateral and private donors.
• Maintain links with donors, development partners and other stakeholders.
• Prepare concept notes, project proposals and funding applications aligned with donor priorities.
• Manage data entry, cleaning and validation in MIS/Excel systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 16 years of education in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics or a related discipline.
• 6-7 years of relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation and research, preferably in the development sector.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project locations across Pakistan, primarily in Sindh and Balochistan.
• Maximum age limit of 45 years.

Required skills

• Data management, analysis and reporting, including donor reporting.
• Ability to evaluate project feasibility and impact.
• Communication, coordination, presentation and stakeholder management.

What we offer

• Stated salary of PKR 90,000 per month, plus standard perks and privileges (negotiable).
