National Case Management Consultant – Child Protection (6-month consultancy)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a National Case Management Consultant to strengthen the Child Protection Case Management and Referral System (CP‑CMRS) across Pakistan’s provinces. This 6‑month consultancy is office‑based in Islamabad with occasional travel to project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance the effectiveness, quality and sustainability of the CP‑CMRS through structured quality assurance and mentoring.
• Update tools, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational guidance to reflect emerging needs.
• Build capacity of the social service workforce and establish robust supervision mechanisms.
• Reinforce governance, coordination and sustainability frameworks for child protection.
• Support the rollout and continuous refinement of a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation system.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Social Policy, Public Policy or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in child protection systems strengthening, social work, workforce strengthening or case management.
• Proven ability to provide technical advice to government agencies on child protection and social welfare.
• Fluency in English and Urdu; additional UN language is an asset.
