Network Support Engineer - FTTH & GPON

About the role

Nayatel is looking for a Network Support Engineer to deploy and maintain its FTTH and GPON networks. The role covers fiber optic cable laying, splicing and testing, ONT installation, router configuration and delivery of triple-play services (internet, cable TV and phone), while supervising field teams.

Key responsibilities

• Handle network deployment and maintenance of FTTH and GPON networks, including fiber laying, splicing and testing, ONT installation and router configuration.
• Deliver triple-play services (internet, cable TV and phone).
• Supervise field teams so that KPIs are met.
• Read and understand manufacturer documentation and manuals for transmission equipment.
• Conduct site surveys of high-rise buildings and other sites, monitor deployments and prepare cost estimates for new installations.
• Understand customer requirements during surveys and monitor complete installations.

Required profile

• BS degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication or Mechatronics engineering.
• Good analytical and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Wi-Fi coverage tools is an added advantage.
