Odoo Functional Consultant

About the role

HST Technologies is an Odoo consulting practice serving clients in the Middle East (UAE, KSA), Pakistan and internationally, delivering end-to-end Odoo ERP implementations. As an Odoo Functional Consultant you will own the functional delivery across client engagements: turning business requirements into working Odoo configurations, running discovery workshops and making sure every solution matches how the client operates. You will work across multiple industries and geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and business process mapping workshops, then prepare detailed BRDs and functional process flows for client sign-off
• Configure and set up Odoo modules such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing (BoM/MRP), Accounting, POS, HR and Project Management
• Prepare and deliver customized Odoo demos and plan and execute master data migration, including cleansing, import templates and post-import validation
• Translate functional specs into development briefs for custom modules, reports or workflow changes
• Deliver end-user and admin training, provide go-live cutover support and manage post-implementation helpdesk tickets by priority level
• Write SOPs, configuration guides and handover documentation, and support pre-sales scoping, effort estimation and proposals
• Stay current with Odoo releases, new features and regional compliance requirements (ZATCA, FBR/PRA)

Required profile

• 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience with Odoo ERP (Community or Enterprise, version 14 or above)
• At least 3 full-cycle Odoo implementations (discovery through go-live)
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, IT, Computer Science or a related field
• Fluent English; Arabic is a strong advantage for Gulf-region clients

Required skills

• Core Odoo modules: Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, and at least one of Manufacturing, POS or HR
• Gathering business requirements, writing BRDs and mapping processes
• Accounting principles and chart of accounts configuration
• Nice to have: Odoo Studio or basic Python/XML customization, regional tax and e-invoicing compliance (ZATCA Phase 2, FBR/PRA, UAE VAT), multi-company setups, API integrations, and e-commerce workflows
