Outage Manager

About the role

The Outage Manager will lead the preparation, planning, execution and close‑out of complex planned or emergent outage events for gas turbine, steam turbine and generator assets within GE Vernova’s FieldCore team. The role is responsible for delivering reliable, on‑time outage outcomes while supporting the business strategy for field‑fulfilment excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage outage schedules, labour, tooling and cost plans for planned, emergent and upgrade events.
• Lead onsite execution as site lead, coordinating large multidisciplinary teams to meet Fulfilment‑5 goals.
• Conduct on‑job cost tracking, productivity monitoring and risk/FMEA analysis throughout the outage lifecycle.
• Drive improvements in on‑time delivery, outage cost and productivity, maintaining accurate tracking files and pacing.
• Prepare project quotations, scope definitions, site condition checks and preliminary safety and risk analyses.
• Support customer operations during shutdown, start‑up, run‑in and performance testing of turbines, generators and auxiliary systems.
• Ensure proper documentation of field procedures, quality procedures, EHS requirements and post‑outage reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex outage projects in the power generation or industrial services sector.
• Strong ability to coordinate large teams and interact with customers before, during and after outages.
• Excellent analytical skills for cost, productivity and risk assessment.
• Solid understanding of safety, quality and environmental standards in field operations.
