Patching Engineer – Windows Endpoint & Server Management

About the role

Join XTIUM's global team as a Patching Engineer, responsible for ensuring the security and stability of Windows endpoints and servers through efficient patch management. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to plan, execute, and validate patch deployments while maintaining high compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute recurring patching activities across Windows endpoints and servers, including scanning, remediation, scheduling, and post‑deployment validation.
• Review patch applicability, stage approved deployments, coordinate outage windows, and manage rollback and risk considerations.
• Troubleshoot patch deployment failures such as agent health issues, missing prerequisites, content/download problems, and reboot handling.
• Produce compliance and patch reporting for internal teams and customers, detailing status, exceptions, overdue items, and remediation plans.
• Maintain documentation, knowledge articles, and customer‑specific procedures for repeatable patch operations.
• Operate RMM and endpoint management platforms to support patch deployment, agent health, device targeting, and reporting.
• Deploy and support RMM agents, Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, and group‑based targeting methods.
• Participate in change management processes, coordinate maintenance windows, and work with security and operations teams on risk‑based patching.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience administering endpoint or server patch management in an enterprise or managed‑services environment.
• Proven experience using RMM or endpoint management platforms for patch deployment and compliance reporting.
• Familiarity with change management processes and stakeholder communication.
