Planning Engineer

About the role

The Planning Engineer will ensure that all preventive and corrective maintenance work is properly planned in SAP and executed before due dates. The role involves preparing work orders, estimating resources, and supervising third‑party contractor jobs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare work orders and work packs in SAP, ensuring material availability and accurate duration estimates.
• Develop and maintain maintenance plans in the CMMS (SAP) and coordinate with operational teams for scheduling.
• Manage cost and capital aspects, including CAPEX estimates, budget monitoring, and monthly financial closing.
• Organize gate‑keeping meetings, sequence operations to minimise downtime, and create standard job plans.
• Maintain inventory levels, raise purchase requisitions, and liaise with procurement.
• Analyse daily issues, improve maintenance workflows, and ensure compliance with safety policies.

Required profile

• B.Sc./B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance planning or engineering systems.
• Understanding of ISO standards and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP CMMS for maintenance planning.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with work order management, cost monitoring, and inventory control.
