Senior Utility Engineer

About the role

The Senior Utility Engineer will lead planning, execution, and reliability of utilities and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations at the Rakh Canal Plant.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute preventive and corrective maintenance in SAP, including third‑party contractor management.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of boilers, LPG plant, cooling towers, chillers, tube wells, gas lines, steam distribution, condensate recovery, and WWTP to meet regulatory limits.
• Manage utilities projects such as upgrades, retrofits and new installations, preparing BOQs and technical specifications.
• Control critical spares inventory, raise purchase requisitions and coordinate with procurement.
• Supervise contractors, enforce safety standards and ensure quality work within budget.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or DAE in Mechanical/Chemical (1st Class Boiler Competency Certificate required).
• 7‑10 years experience in utilities operations and maintenance of coal, diesel or gas‑fired boilers.
• Proven ability to interact with government regulatory authorities.
• Strong leadership skills to lead the utilities team and drive continuous improvement.

• Knowledge of CFB boilers and coal‑fired powerhouses (desirable)
