Power BI Developer – Business Intelligence Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer to join our Islamabad team. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that turn complex data into actionable insights for business leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Gather and analyse business requirements to create effective BI solutions.
• Build data models, relationships, KPIs, and calculated measures using DAX.
• Perform ETL processes, integrating data from SQL Server, Azure services, APIs and other sources.
• Optimize reports and datasets for performance and scalability.
• Implement row‑level security and data‑governance best practices.
• Schedule refreshes, monitor performance, and troubleshoot reporting issues.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data accuracy.

Required profile

• 5–6 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong analytical abilities and effective communication with business users.
• Experience working in enterprise‑scale BI environments and Agile/Scrum settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics or a related field (preferred).

Required skills

• Power BI, DAX, Power Query, Data Modeling.
• SQL querying, SQL Server, Azure Data Services.
• ETL processes and data‑warehousing concepts.
• Excel, APIs and third‑party data integrations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Performance tuning and optimization of reports and datasets.
