Principal/Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

About the role

The Principal/Senior DevOps Engineer will lead cloud and automation initiatives, ensuring SLA compliance and timely resolution of urgent issues. The role involves close collaboration with development teams to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and secure, scalable cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, support, and manage cloud initiatives using Azure and automation tools such as Puppet and Ansible.
• Lead urgent issue resolution, communicate status updates, and allocate appropriate staffing resources.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD infrastructure, including Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Deploy, support, and secure applications in cloud environments, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with developers to create environments that meet best‑practice standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of professional experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Flexible attitude and versatile personality.

Required skills

• Azure, CloudFormation, Terraform, Puppet, Ansible.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, TeamCity, TFS, Kubernetes.
• Scripting: Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell.
• Containers: Docker.
• Version control: Subversion.
• Linux distributions: RHEL 8, CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux.
• Networking, load balancing, virtualization.
