Product Manager – On‑Ramp & Swap

About the role

Tether is looking for a Product Manager to own the strategy and execution of buying and swapping USDT and XAUT in the Tether Wallet. You will work across product, payments and partnership teams to turn a fragmented global payments landscape into a seamless in‑app experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the roadmap for fiat on‑ramps, card payments, local payment methods and token‑to‑token swaps.
• Map payment ecosystems in target markets and select the best on‑ramp or swap partner for each.
• Lead partner onboarding from evaluation through integration, coordinating legal, compliance and commercial terms.
• Translate partner APIs into product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering.
• Design routing logic to present users the optimal partner based on country, currency, amount and availability.
• Track and improve KPIs across the buy‑and‑swap funnel, managing partner performance and incidents.

Required profile

• 5+ years product management experience in banking, payments or fintech.
• 3+ years product management in DeFi or crypto.
• Hands‑on experience with fiat on‑ramp, off‑ramp or swap providers.
• Proven track record evaluating, selecting and managing external partners.
• Strong data‑driven mindset with experience defining funnel KPIs.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of global payment systems and card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, 3‑D Secure).
• Knowledge of crypto wallets, DeFi token swaps, DEX aggregators and on‑chain transaction flows.
• Experience reading API documentation and working closely with engineering teams.
• Working knowledge of KYC/AML requirements and their impact on user onboarding.
