Product Owner – Clinical

About the role

PsychPlus is seeking a Product Owner – Clinical to lead the evolution of its clinical product experience. You will work closely with clinicians, operations, engineering, design, and QA to translate real‑world clinical needs into intuitive, scalable, and reliable product solutions for both in‑person and virtual mental health care.

Key responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the clinical product backlog based on business objectives, provider needs, and user feedback.
• Partner with clinicians to understand and improve end‑to‑end behavioral health workflows, including intake, assessments, treatment planning, documentation, and care coordination.
• Translate clinical requirements into detailed user stories, functional specs, acceptance criteria, and workflow documentation.
• Identify opportunities to simplify EHR/EMR documentation, reduce duplicate data entry, and streamline provider workflows.
• Collaborate with Engineering, UX/UI, QA, Compliance and other stakeholders to ensure practical solutions and successful feature delivery.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Champion provider and patient experience through stakeholder interviews, usability testing, and feedback analysis.
• Ensure product compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on experience with EHR/EMR systems and a strong understanding of US healthcare, preferably behavioral health.
• Proven experience gathering requirements from clinical users and converting complex workflows into clear product specifications.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
