Production Engineer (Mechanical)

About the role

The Production Engineer (Mechanical) will ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant mechanical assets. Working closely with the Execution Team Lead, you will lead maintenance activities, support turnarounds and drive continuous improvement across static equipment and compression facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor implementation of corporate and SD&HSE policies, and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Participate in technical and safety audits of process equipment and related documentation.
• Assist the Execution Team Lead with troubleshooting, preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of static equipment on‑site and at off‑site compression and water‑injection facilities.
• Generate and manage work orders in Maximo, allocate resources, supervise execution and close out reports.
• Coordinate mechanical modifications, capacity‑enhancement projects and process‑safety activities with signed MOCs and detailed designs.
• Work with the Reliability team to analyse recurring failures, implement RCFA recommendations and improve equipment availability.
• Support planning and execution of Annual Turnarounds (ATAs) for MCPF and MGPF, ensuring safety, schedule adherence and budget compliance.
• Supervise and mentor assistant engineers, foremen and technicians, providing on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in industrial production or plant maintenance.
• Strong managerial, technical and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a team‑player attitude and leadership qualities.

Required skills

• Maximo (CMMS) for work‑order management.
• Preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance techniques.
• Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
• Management of Change (MOC) processes.
• Mechanical equipment troubleshooting and reliability improvement.
