Production & Quality Manager

About the role

A permanent, onsite Production & Quality Manager is sought in Karachi, Pakistan, to drive operational excellence and uphold high quality standards in a production environment. The role suits a results-oriented leader with a passion for the fashion industry and a proven track record in manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage daily production activities to meet business targets and deadlines.
• Develop production schedules based on order requirements and inventory needs, and monitor output against daily, weekly and monthly targets.
• Maintain product quality standards throughout production and supervise production staff, line supervisors and team members.
• Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams on material availability and inventory planning.
• Identify bottlenecks, monitor wastage and implement corrective actions and resource optimization measures.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, workplace safety regulations and operational policies.
• Prepare production reports on output, efficiency, manpower utilization and performance metrics.
• Manage workforce planning, including shift allocation and manpower requirements, and conduct team evaluations and training.
• Handle production issues and escalate critical matters where required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Textile Management, Industrial Management or a related field.
• Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in production management within retail/apparel manufacturing.
• Experience managing production teams and handling end-to-end production operations.
• Preferred: experience in the broader retail industry.
